Homework for Monday and Tuesday

Hello,

Today and tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday) we will be continuing our study of proportions and ratios with lessons 1.3 and 1.4. Here is the homework for both nights, here is the handout for lesson 1.3, and here is the handout for lesson 1.4.

We will have a quiz on Friday on lessons 1.1-1.6, so if you have been struggling with the material, or you just lost your copy of one of the handouts, please check the previous posts!

Also, today in class we introduced the "Mathematician's Toolbox." This is just a simple way to keep track of all of the vocabulary terms that we have learned in math class so far. If you lose yours and need another copy, you can print out a blank one here.

Homework for the rest of the week: None!

Because of the religious holidays, the test today, and field day on Friday, we will not be having any more homework this week.

However, the students will receive their tests back on Thursday, and they should make test corrections.

Test corrections guideline:

-On a separate sheet of paper
-Showing all work for each problem corrected
-Include at least one sentence for each problem explaining what you did wrong/what you understand now. Sentences like "I didn't get it before" or "I guessed" aren't acceptable

They will be due one week from Thursday, and can earn back up to one half of the points that students missed on the test.
